How to Make a Spring Flower Snack Board

Posted on April 10, 2022March 4, 2023

Y’all know I make snack boards ALL the time. It’s my thing and I love it! One of the reasons I love to make them for the kids is because they are easy and they always give them a variety to choose from for snack time. I grew up grabbing a box or bag of something for a snack but this allows me as a parent to give them healthier options and make it fun. The kids feel so special when I lay down a snack board for them. And I feel good that they aren’t just finishing off an entire bag of chips.

So, when Evie had a friend over for her very first sleep over, I decided to make a special Spring Flower Snack Board for them. Not the ridiculous amounts of candy and sugar I use to eat at sleepovers when I was a kid. And you know what… the girls went WILD over this Flower Snack Tray! Yes, there were some treats on it, but the veggies and fruits were what went first!

Here is how I made a Spring Flower Snack Board

  • Start by placing 3 small bowls on your board.
  • Second I added 3 long pretzel rods for the flower stems and laid out the veggie sticks to make grass.
  • Then I added snacks to the bowls. I decided to go with dried apricots, blueberries and chips. Pick anything you have in your kitchen.
  • Next I added snacks around the bowl to make the flowers. I tried to pick snacks that would resemble petals. I chose to do carrot sticks, cocolate covered pretzels and cut up strawberries.
  • Finally I halved some sliced cucumber for leaves and placed them on our flower stems.
