Easy DIY Halloween Pennant Party Flags

Posted on September 21, 2022October 6, 2023

Quick and Easy DIY Project for Kids

Halloween is creeping closer and on a WHIM I decided to make some adorable and festive pennant flags for the kids. I plan to use them for a Halloween Party, but you can also display them in your kids room with other spooky decor or stick them in Boo Baskets for the kids. Make sure to check out my Moscow Ghoul Teacher Gift Idea where I use these flags too! I love a good craft project, especially when I can make something in under 3 minutes! The first step to making your flags is to print and cut out your pennants. You can download and print all 4 of my designs, CLICK HERE . I suggest printing them on a card stock paper so they are more sturdy.

On the back of your flag apply a line of Glue. I preferred the All Purpose Krazy Glue for this step. Then take your bamboo skewer and press and hold onto the glue line for about 10 seconds.

Next step is to grab some fun ribbons. I wanted mine to look eclectic so I used a bunch of different fun types of ribbon. Black and orange stripes, solid pink, black with silver stars, sparkly ribbons, even an orange and pink fuzzy yarn. Take 3 to 4 ribbons and tie to the bottom of your flag. Secure with a little bit of Glue to hold it in place.

Lastly, it’s time to add the finishing touch. With a small dot of Krazy Glue add a plastic spider or glittery bat to the top of your ribbon knot. Perfection!

Wasn’t that easy?
