How to Make Personalized Water Bottles | Easy DIY Team Gift

Posted on October 27, 2022October 7, 2023

This year was the first year we made an effort to get the kids into sports. We finally felt like they were old enough and had an idea of what they wanted to do. It has been the most fun thing ever! I never realized how much of a “Soccer Mom” I was. So naturally, the urge to do something special for the girls and their teams began. They were having the time of their lives, so I decided to put together a DIY team gift for everyone. I made personalized water bottles for the girls, and they turned out super easy and totally adorable!

How to make Personalized Water Bottles for a Team Gift

I started off by buying a set of water bottles from Amazon. Then I went on the search for some cute waterproof stickers that I could personalize. I decided to do the girls names, but you could also do the Team Name or Mascot.

I applied the sticker right on the water bottle. Then it was time to WHIM it and make it look like a totally magical gift. Grabbing a few different stands of ribbon, ties around the water bottle. Using ribbons with different textures makes it look really whimsical. I chose a big chunky yarn, a rough, thick cord type ribbon and a ribbon with soccer balls. I tied them around the water bottle and then stuck a soccer ball sticker to the ribbon for fun.

The team went WILD over these water bottles. They thought they were the cutest things ever and it made me so happy to see them on the sideline drinking from them. Some of them even kept the ribbons tied around them!
