Kids Sleep Roller Recipe | For Sleep Support and Sweet Dreams

Posted on January 18, 2022August 22, 2022

There is nothing greater than a good night’s sleep! One of the hardest parts of being a parent of multiple kids, is the middle of the night waking or early morning wakeup call can be a regular occurrence. A few months ago, our kids started waking up before the sun came up each morning. It was a slow progression to an earlier and earlier start to our day. It began around 6:oo am and got to the point where they were waking up at 4:30 am. This Mama was tired! So, I reached for my oils and made a bedtime roller for the kids. I was able to stop the madness with this one change. They slowly started sleeping in later and later and it got to the point where I was having to wake the girls up for school! Mom WIN!

Essential Oils are a great way to enhance a better, deeper sleep.

Here is how to make a Kids Sleep Roller with Essential Oils

In a 10ml roller add

  • 5 drops of lavender
  • 5 drops of peace and calming
  • 5 drops of vetiver
  • Top the roller off with a carrier oil (I like to use this fractionated coconut oil)

To use: Roll on the bottom of their feet, behind their ears and along their spine at bedtime.

Some other essential oils that help promote a good night sleep:

  • Stress Away
  • Frankincense
  • Cedarwood
  • Dream Catcher
  • Sleepyize
  • White Angelica
  • Ylang Ylang

We’ve really enjoyed adding this to our bedtime routine. I set their diffusers (Lavender and Stress Away are their favorites) and they lay in bed while they apply their Sleep Roller. It creates such a calming atmosphere for bedtime. I also find it funny that my child that has always had the hardest time getting good sleep, gets the most excited about her sleep roller. She tells me all the time that she gets a more restful night sleep and wakes less. I love how oils are empowering her!
